GUIDELINES
Guidelines for donating items to the GRBC library:
- Give
item(s) directly to the Church Secretary
so that she can update the catalog.
- Do not put them with the current
library without giving them to the Church Secretary.
Guidelines for checking out items from the GRBC library:
- All
items must be picked up from the Church Secretary before or after church
on Sunday morning.
- Submit
a request via email or in writing to the Church Secretary.
- All
items requested by 10AM Friday will be available for pick-up at church the
following Sunday, any items requested after 10AM Friday will be available
for pick up the following Sunday.
- If an
item that you request is already checked out, you will be notified that it
is currently unavailable, and the person who currently has it will be
notified that it has been requested by someone else.
- When
you are finished with an item, it should be returned to the Church
Secretary before or after church on Sunday morning. Please be prompt in returning items once
you are finished.
Using the GRBC Library Catalog
- The
catalog is an excel spreadsheet.
- At the
bottom are tabs you can click on to view the entire library at once or
look as a specific type of media.
- You
can sort the catalog by any of the categories at the top, to do so follow
this procedure:
- Make
sure you are at the very top of the spreadsheet.
- Left-click
on the blank box at the top left corner of the spreadsheet. (This box is directly to the left of
the box containing "A", directly above the box containing
"1", and diagonally up and to the left of the box containing Title.) This should highlight the entire
spreadsheet.
- Left-click
on the word "Data" in the toolbar at the top of the
screen.
- Left-click
"Sort..." from the list.
- A
pop-up window titled "Sort" should appear with boxes to select
different categories to sort by, and options to sort
"Ascending" or "Descending".
- In
the first box, select the primary category you want to sort by and choose
"Ascending" or "Descending".
- In
the second box, select a different category to do the secondary sort by
and choose "Ascending" or "Descending".
- In
the third box, select a different category to do the final sort by and
choose "Ascending" or "Descending".
- Make
sure that "Header row" is checked under "My data
range has".
- Left-click
"OK"
